Ban Public smoking- says Michigan

The 38th state to ban public smoking, Michigan, has announced this order from 6 a.m. in the morning of May 1 2010.

This drastic law has been enforced for the betterment of the citizens of the state, say the officials. Also, it has been confirmed that the citizens of the state themselves pledged the government to do so. Except three casinos in the Detroit area, the other places such as restaurants, bars, work places, bowling alleys etc., have been strictly asked to enforce the law.

Many smokers are obviously against this rule and also some of the private clubs are coming forward to shield themselves from this rule. The clubs state that there are only members allowed inside and hence they should have the right to make their own rules as the general public is not involved.
